Life In Our Shed (Part 2)

So like I said in Part 1, I asked my wife and daughters to try living with me in our oversized shed/garage for a week.

We're trying to feel a little bit of what it might be like to live on $1.50 per day.

We cook outside over a fire.

We sleep on the same bed.

I made an outdoor bathing area.

We use a bucket, a cup and a bar of soap to wash.

$1.50 per day (per adult) gives us enough to have a cup of uncooked rice per meal, a half a cup of uncooked beans, and an occasional addition to the meal (plantain, hot dog, piece of fruit etc.)

I'm trying to teach my children that they don't NEED toys, dolls, etc to play.  They can have fun without having lots of things.

That's it for now.  More to come later.
